Dance Review in Dance Europe about "songs are sung", performed november 2008 in Scotland: "What these women do says a lot about gravity, both literal and metaphorical, and exaltation. The spiritual quality of their collective performance is cumulatively so moving that you can't help but wonder what Claxton might do with bigger stages and more bodies (and some of them male)."- Donald Hutera,Januari 2009. Dance review about Janis Claxton Dance "Falling Light" in Scotsman says: "Most impressive of all, though, was the exquisite use of Gorecki's emotive score. The dancers gave 100 per cent in a display of grief, torment, comfort and support. Tight synchronicity, athletic tumbles and delicate phrasing conspired to create a passionate work that heralds Claxton as a force to be reckoned with." Published Date: 08 November 2008. 2007 in the press:
Reaction of Jury about dance solo "Meantime", choregraphed by Noa Shadur, performed by Damaris Verduijn, shown at Solo Duo International Dance Festival, Budapest 2007: "In every movement her thoughts were visible. The dancer's light quality and strong technical background gave a special meaning to the performance. The choreography itself was clear in space structure and had a special way of developing a new movement vocabulary."
2005 on the web:
